THE MIND AND THE HEART BEHIND BASSI TRAINING
THE MIND AND THE HEART BEHIND BASSI TRAINING
Bassi Training is built on real-world sport experience, combined with an evidence-based approach to training. It was not created from trends or quick solutions, but from decades spent competing, coaching, studying, and refining methods across different levels of performance. The focus is on consistency, longevity, and practical results that respect each athlete’s reality.
Two paths, one purpose
Anderson Bassi represents the applied side of the method, shaped by years of lived experience as both an athlete and a coach in Brazil and abroad. His background includes competitive cycling, mountain biking, and triathlon at national and international levels, as well as extensive coaching experience. An important stage of his development took place in Australia, where he trained and coached athletes while expanding his understanding of different training methodologies. Throughout his career, health challenges and periods away from competition reinforced his belief in long-term development, resilience, and training methods that support both performance and well-being. He currently works in Brazil, coaching triathletes across different levels.
Dr Fabio Minozzo brings an academic and performance-driven perspective to Bassi Training, shaped by both competitive sport and extensive coaching experience. After years competing in triathlon and working with athletes, he began to question traditional coaching methods that failed to fully develop long-term performance. This led him to pursue formal education in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, and Muscle Biophysics, completing his graduate training in Canada. Although his scientific training extended beyond sport-specific contexts, it provided a strong foundation for understanding human performance and adaptation. He is currently a scholar working in higher education in Canada, with a professional focus on translating evidence-based knowledge into practical training strategies that improve performance in a realistic and sustainable way.
Together, Anderson and Fabio developed a training philosophy and a set of methods that combine evidence-based practice with real-world experience. This approach challenges conventional methods and offers athletes a more effective, sustainable way to train and perform.
